Recognition of the Standard of Education

Based on articles 4 and 5 of the Constitution mentioned above, the theological education offered by this institution is not with the recognition of the Ministry of Higher Education in Jordan, but it is based on international ecclesiastical standards for theological education meeting special recognition standards to obtain the qualification for Christian service in churches and parachurch institutions. These international associations classify theological education as being at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, since these associations consider theological education as one of the academic sciences. Thus JETS provides all that is required by these associations to fulfill the standards for the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels sought by churches. This, in turn, elevates the status of leaders of church and parachurch institutions, and consequently, elevates Jordan’s standing in the international community. JETS adopts three international ecclesiastical associations to measure the level of theological education it offers, and they are listed below.

Middle East and North Africa Association for Theological Education (MENATE)

European Council for Theological Education (ECTE)

Asia Theological Association (ATA)
