Programs and Courses
We are an evangelical school, and unashamedly hold to the historical doctrines of the Christian Church. Thus, the content of our teaching must be solidly Biblical, and our context clearly 'near-eastern' which demands sensitivity to the culture of this region and the application of Christian truth in relevant ways.
Therefore...
At JETS, we are building a faculty and academic program that can serve the Church of the Middle East and North Africa. Our status as a non-denominational school afford us the opportunity to minister to all evangelicals. Our medium of instruction in the classroom is Arabic, and we constantly seek to be relevant to the issues and needs facing Christians in our region of the world.
In order to broaden the variety and depth of courses offered at JETS, intensive classes (modules) are taught in January and during the summer months by prominent residents and adjunct professors in their fields. The modules are usually taught in English, with translation into Arabic.
Education at JETS, however, is not limited to the academic classroom. Most students gain experience in practical ministry where they have the opportunity to develop ministry skills and utilize their spiritual gifts. Students are required to engage in supervised internships in evangelism, visitation, discipleship, church planting, teaching, and pastoring.
